Job Description
Local manufacturing company needs a manufacturing engineer to optimize processes and support product lines. The company makes large mechanical assembly-type products. Familiarity with mechanical designs and manufacturing is a must. Very generous salary and benefits, including health, dental, vision, and 401K.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Working with a safety-first approach, lead manufacturing projects, coordinating both internal and external resources to meet KPI’s.
· Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing ideas that improve production costs, volumes, and quality.
· Work on capital improvement projects, machinery improvement, plant layout. Work with vendors and contractors on equipment installations.
· Lead manufacturing process development for new or improved products
· Implement ideas for robotics and automation, where practical. Familiarity with PLC-based production systems is a plus.
