East Carolina Rehab and Wellness (a skilled nursing facility) is looking to hire an energetic person in the role of Assistant Director of Nursing / Staff Development Coordinator - RN. This is a full time position.

Qualifications/ Responsibilities:
A minimum, one (1) year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility is preferred.
Must hold a valid RN license issued by the state
Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents based on budget, census.
Must possess creativity, integrity, and initiative
Plan, organize, and implement skills training programs/in-services for clinical staff and other departments; Perform orientation classes
Develop educational strategies to facilitate quality improvement efforts
Focus on Quality improvement
Overseeing Infection Control (including Employee Health)
Maintaining in-service educational records
Coordinate with and utilize community resources in meeting educational and staffing needs
Oversee the process for competency evaluation of new employees
Recommend progression to permanent employment or extension of orientation/probationary period for new employees
Work closely with HR regarding hiring process and new employee files.
Work closely with the Director of Nursing
