Position Overview:

As a Field Operations Manager at DrBalcony, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of our on-site inspection operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of inspectors, overseeing their day-to-day activities, and ensuring that all inspections are conducted to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of field operations, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and Supervise Inspectors: Oversee the daily activities of field inspectors, ensuring they follow all company procedures and safety protocols while on-site.

Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate inspection schedules, assign inspectors to job sites, and ensure that all inspections are completed within the designated timeframe.

Quality Control: Monitor inspection quality, ensuring that all work meets company and regulatory standards.

Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and support to inspectors, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to perform their duties effectively.

Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between inspectors, project managers, and clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication.

Problem-Solving: Address any issues that arise during inspections, providing solutions that maintain project timelines and quality standards.

Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspection activities, including reports on inspection outcomes, inspector performance, and any issues encountered.

Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding process for new inspectors, ensuring they are fully integrated into the team and understand all protocols and procedures.

Hiring Inspectors: Manage the hiring process for new inspectors, including recruitment, interviews, and selection.

Point of Contact for Inspectors: Act as the main point of contact for all on-field inspectors, addressing their concerns and providing support as needed.

System Improvement: Assist in improving systems and processes for inspectors to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Growth and Improvement: Help grow and improve the inspection team by identifying areas for development and implementing strategies for improvement.

Approve Expert Statements and Payments: Assist with the approval of expert statements and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Collaboration: Work closely with the scheduler and engineering team to bridge any outstanding gaps between departments and ensure cohesive operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SB 326 and SB 721 regulations is highly desirable.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to ensure high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using scheduling and project management software.
