Description: 

The opportunity to be a part of a team that manufactures and distributes high quality chemicals. It is an opportunity to be exposed to all aspects of a plant environment including Safety, General Administration, Logistics, Vendor/Supplier Management, and Customer Service. This position is responsible for supporting all PVS Companies to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

Qualifications: 

Previous experience with working in a chemical plant is preferred.

Training in the handling of hazardous materials, lock out tag out, PPE, confined space is preferred.

Individuals for this position must be mechanically inclined with a strong maintenance background. 

Must be able to perform basic plant maintenance tasks without close supervision.

Must be physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Job requires working in all outdoor temperature extremes as well as rain and snow.

License to operate a forklift, manlift and bobcat is preferred. Individual cannot have any physical restrictions that would prevent them from obtaining a license to drive any of this equipment.

Individual must not have any physical restrictions that would prevent them from wearing a respirator.

Must be able to work weekends and on any shift that may be required to meet plant production needs.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities:

Strict adherence to plant lockout, tag out and try out procedures as it relates to plant maintenance.

Assist in the performance of maintenance activities as required to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

This includes but is not limited to:

Changing out of pumps, motors, valves, miscellaneous plant equipment

Installation and repair of plant piping.

Cleaning out of production tanks.

Repair of heat exchangers.

Trouble shoot equipment problems.

Assist with various plant projects relating to equipment upgrades and rebuilds.

Operate plant mobile equipment including bobcat, manlift, forklift, and shuttle wagon and floor sweeper.

Assist operator with the cleaning out of filters as necessary to keep production running.

Operate overhead crane in a safe manner to load reduction tanks with raw materials.

Maintain, organize and clean maintenance shop and areas throughout facility.

Compliance to regulations on EHS&S for product transporting for carriers and railcars.

Compliance to Security and Safety requirements of railcars for transport.

Communicate with carriers on EHS&S expectations and risks.

Assist with the Incident Investigation Program (IIR) as necessary
