Streamline Search are currently working with a respected chartered accountancy firm based in Lancashire, committed to delivering exceptional financial services to a diverse range of clients.

They are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Bookkeeper/Payroll Assistant to join their team of 2 due to expansion plans. The role can be described as an 80/20 split between bookkeeping and payroll.

Monday to Friday.
30am to 5pm.
Statutory Pension Scheme.
20 days holiday plus bank holidays.Key Responsibilities

Maintain financial records: Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions.
Process accounts receivable/payable: Manage invoices, payments, and client accounts.
Reconcile accounts: Ensure that bank and financial statements align with company records.
Payroll administration: Manage payroll systems, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
VAT returns and submissions: Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with relevant regulations.
Prepare financial reports: Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.
Liaise with clients: Provide financial advice, answer queries, and support client bookkeeping needs.Position Requirements

Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices.
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with VAT returns and payroll administration.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
