Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

An experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design consultancy. Provides full design support for the engineering services within buildings in the UK and Europe. The business has been built through a comprehensive appreciation of the issues requiring building services advice during the life cycle of a property. Our teams of multi-disciplined engineers work closely with our design engineers to provide our clients with considered solutions during all phases of the life cycle of a property.

We work on projects from small refurbishments through to new build developments of commercial office space, hotels, retail, residential, historic, industrial, educational or healthcare. We have the necessary experience to provide an innovative, cost effective solution.

We have over 35 years of industry experience in the design of building services over an extensive range of sectors.

We fully understand the factors that affect design processes and utilise this knowledge to ensure projects are approached pragmatically and efficiently. No project is ever the same, which is why we consider each project on an individual basis, from feasibility, to design and construction, to completion and handover.

We have a core team of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design engineers who collectively have a vast wealth of experience. This experience, combined with our 'hands-on' approach ensures project solutions are delivered to be functional, innovative and logical.

Contributes to the co-ordination of the MEP services items with other external members of
the design team, i.e. General Contractors, Architects, Structural Engineers, BIM, Fire
Engineering, Acoustics, Sustainability, environmental accreditation.
* Is able to be involved and contribute to multiple projects in parallel where necessary.
* Liaises and co-ordinates with other internal departments such as estimating and BIM.
* Ensures that information presented to internal and external stakeholders is of an
appropriate standard.
* Keep abreast of evolving industry regulations and standards and communicate necessary
changes to stakeholders.
* Develop a good knowledge of the company structure and business streams.

Person Specification:

* Bachelors or masters degree in building services engineering, environmental science or a
related field.
* Previous design experience of commercial building experience including new build, shell and
core, major refurbishment, and CAT A/B fit-outs.
* Previous experience of delivering design work in their discipline from RIBA Stage 2 to 4.
* Awareness of the design deliverable that are required at each design stage in accordance
with the guidance provided in BSRIA BG6.
* Proficiency in using Bluebeam Revu software or other similar digital marking up tool related
to MEP services engineering.
* Knowledge of sustainability and environmental accreditation schemes.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex
data.
* Very good communication and report writing skills to effectively collaborate with internal
and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work as part of the team to meet deadlines.
* Able to manage their own time.
* Extends their ability and is interested in acquiring new skills and techniques.
* Contributes to a friendly and positive environment within the company.
* Is proactive in any matter.
