Salary: £80,000

A leading commercial bank is seeking a talented Data Steward to join their Risk Models and Data team.

The Role

As a Data Steward, the successful candidate will be an integral part of a diverse risk analytics team, supporting data governance initiatives across the organization. This role offers a unique opportunity to:

• Drive the implementation of the data governance framework within the Risk function
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance data quality and ownership
• Perform data lineage activities for key risk outcomes
• Prepare and present materials for data governance forums
• Provide training and support on data governance best practices

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Strong experience in data governance, ideally within financial services
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and data quality principles
• Demonstrable Data Stewardship experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build cross-functional relationships
• Proficiency in MS Excel; basic knowledge of SAS and SQL is a plus
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial sector
