Senior Database Administrator - MongoDB

A leading tech company are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with strong MongoDB expertise to lead on projects from start to finish, drive database good practices and help mentor junior members of staff.

This is a permanent role based in London, with a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the SME on database platforms and their integration into applications.
• Provide expert guidance regarding the use and optimization of databases.
• Promote and uphold database design practices and standards/
• Monitor database performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
• Implement measures and optimisations to maintain or enhance the databases performance, scalability and reliability.
• Stakeholder management

Experience required:

• Expert knowledge of MongoDB
• In-depth knowledge and application of performance monitoring and tuning, backup and restore strategies
• Experience of database upgrade planning and implementation
• Proficient in database query languages
• Any experience with cloud computing environments such as AWS is beneficial
