Responsibilities:

Are you an ambitious Data Analyst ready to take on a thrilling internship experience? Look no further! Join our remarkable Claims Advanced Analytics Department and be at the forefront of revolutionizing data-driven decision making in the P&C Claims industry. This is your chance to shape the future of claim handling practices and contribute to exciting enterprise initiatives that will leave a lasting impact.

Collaborate closely with our business partners to deliver valuable P&C Claims data that supports critical decision making, process optimization, and strategic shifts.

Work alongside Data Scientists and cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge machine learning models and large datasets for transformative process enhancements.

Navigate through ambiguous business requirements, leveraging your learned business acumen, research skills, and peer collaboration to refine requirements for optimal results.

 Manage time effectively to deliver results across multiple timelines in both agile and non-agile environments. 

Work with customers on requirements gathering and interpretation into coding development with minimal direction from leadership.

Convert existing on-premises data assets to AWS, showcasing your drive for learning new technologies and creative problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

We Are Looking For The Following:

Programming and Technical Experience:

Strong SQL knowledge with the ability to develop output directly through programming code.

Experience with AWS native services, particularly Redshift, Sagemaker, Quicksight, Glue, Lambda.

Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, etc., for querying large-volume structured and unstructured data.

Strong data analysis and visualization abilities.

Business Acumen and Competencies:

Excellent communication (written/verbal) and leadership skills to partner directly with business and/or ET partners.

Visual storytelling and presentation skills. 

Mindset and Working Style:

Automation and efficiency mindset – always striving to accomplish more in less time and reduce manual touches.

Strong technical learning agility to stay current on ever-changing analytical processes and tools.

Exceptional critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Ability to work self-directed and in a collaborative and agile team environment.\Ability to foster innovation, encourage diversity, and incorporate new ideas.

Internship Program Eligibility:

To be eligible for the summer internship program, you must be a full-time student currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program throughout the duration of the internship.

Students who apply MUST be returning to school for at least one semester following the summer internship.

Selected interns must reside within the continental U.S. for the duration of the summer internship.

Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g. H-1B visa) for this opportunity

What You Can Expect:

The internship will occur between May 19, 2025 – August 1, 2025

Hours: Monday-Friday, 38.75 hours per week

Due to the short duration of the summer program, it is an expectation that hired interns will be available for the duration of the summer internship with little to no disruption in work schedule.

Pay: $28.00/hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend!

Work Arrangement: Hybrid:Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.  Please note that relocation benefits will not apply.

HUB LOCATION: Tempe, AZ
