Our client is a leading transport and logistics company providing efficient and reliable delivery solutions for businesses across the UK. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional service to our customers and delivering parcels on time. We are looking for motivated and dedicated Multi-Drop Van Drivers to join our growing team and play a key role in the smooth running of our operations.

Job Role

As a Multi-Drop Van Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parcels to customers across various locations on a scheduled route. Your primary duties will include ensuring timely deliveries, providing excellent customer service, and managing your vehicle and documentation effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Parcel Deliveries: Safely and efficiently deliver a set number of parcels per day, ensuring all items are delivered to the correct address within the assigned route and time frame.

Route Management: Plan and manage delivery routes using provided navigation systems to ensure optimal time management and fuel efficiency.

Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and respectful during interactions with customers, addressing any questions or concerns.

Vehicle Checks: Conduct daily checks of the van to ensure it is roadworthy, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.

Safety and Compliance: Follow all road safety regulations, company policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Documentation: Complete all required delivery documentation and report on any discrepancies or issues encountered during deliveries.

Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading the van in the morning and unloading any returns or undelivered parcels at the end of your shift.

Requirements:

Valid UK Driving Licence: A full, clean driving licence is essential (a minimum of 2 years of driving experience is preferred).

Experience: Previous experience as a multi-drop driver or in a similar logistics/delivery role is advantageous, but full training will be provided.

Physical Fitness: This role involves manual handling of parcels, so a good level of physical fitness is required.

Punctuality and Reliability: Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet delivery deadlines.

Customer-Focused: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using hand-held delivery devices or smart phone apps for route navigation and parcel tracking.

Flexible: Willingness to work occasional weekends and bank holidays as required by the business
