Project Engineer
Our client are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Engineer to join their fast-paced and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and manufacturing processes, with exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle physical material inspection and handling. You will be responsible for liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
Responsibilities for Project Engineer
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct physical material inspection and handling, including potential loads of £15 - £20 kgs
- Manage goods inward and material inspection processes
- Interpret and read technical drawings, including AutoCAD
- Prepare project documentation and understand customer specifications
- Create parts and BOMs in the ERP system
- Ensure material marking for easy identification
- Assist in purchasing materials and consumables
- Plan, coordinate, and carry out proof load testing with adherence to test plans and risk assessments
- Assist with the packing of complex products
Qualifications and experience for Project Engineer
- 2-3 years of previous production and manufacturing type experience
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Engineering background preferred
- Experience in preparing and interpreting technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
