Job Title: Calibration Technician
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience, plus excellent benefits

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to join their dynamic team and take charge of calibrating a diverse range of laboratory equipment and instrumentation in line with ISO17025 standards.

Calibration Technician Key Responsibilities:
* Calibration: Perform timely and accurate calibration of laboratory equipment according to ISO17025 standards.
* Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with laboratory staff on calibration tasks as needed.
* Record Maintenance: Manage calibration records within the internal site equipment database.
* Development Contributions: Assist in the creation and enhancement of a new Group equipment database.
* Reference Standards Management: Oversee the calibration, control, and allocation of reference standard equipment.
* Documentation: Compile, sign, organize, and review both internal and external calibration certificates.
* External Coordination: Organize, ship, and review quotes for all external calibrations.
* Uncertainty Budgets: Calculate uncertainty budgets for calibration procedures.
* Procedure Development: Engage in the review and development of calibration procedures for both existing and new equipment.
* Support: Provide calibration support to laboratory managers and staff, especially during the commissioning and validation of new equipment and processes.
* Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required to support the team.
Calibration Technician Candidate Requirements:
* Calibration Expertise: Solid understanding of calibration, ideally with practical experience.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with Uncertainty of Measurement and Decision Rules is advantageous, though full training will be provided.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to Detail: Critical and analytical thinking with superb attention to detail.
* Education: Degree educated or equivalent experience.
* Proactive Nature: Self-motivated with strong planning and organizational skills.
* Time Management: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Technical Standards: Previous experience with technical standards.
* ISO 17025 Experience: Experience working in an ISO 17025 environment, preferably in a technical role, with the ability to apply these requirements practically in a laboratory setting.
* Hands-On Approach: Willingness to adopt a hands-on approach and progress work quickly while maintaining high-quality standards in a safety-critical industry.
