Transport Operations Manager

Transport Operations Manager required! My client is a leading UK logistics company, specialising in next-day and same-day delivery of air and sea freight. They are now looking for an Transport Operations Manager to join their friendly, dynamic team, playing a crucial role in managing and developing the team.

Transport Operations Manager - Responsibilities

Managing a team of 6 people.
Ensure full compliance from all drivers on use of the driver app.
Ensure high % OTIF SLA (On time in Full).
Manage and develop the team.
Liaise and work with the customer liaison and warehouse teams.
Ensure that the team are constantly trying to achieve the very best service, both actual and perceived.
Manage budget, KPI performance targets and identifying opportunities to deliver change initiatives to improve performance and maximise profits.
Oversee the coordination of the fleet, ensuring all deliveries and collections are made timely and cost effectively.
Transport Operations Manager - Requirements

Strong background in team management/leadership
Proven background in the transport and logistics industry
Experience in successful people management
Strong understanding of relevant compliance and legislation's in transport/logistics and health and safety
Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Remuneration

Monday - Friday working hours 7am-4pm/8am-5pm
Salary - £55,000 - £58,000
25 days holiday
