Mechanical Design experience specifically on SHEET METAL
Prior experience running fabrication equipment: Brakes, Shears, Lasers, Punches, etc.
Experience with nesting on lasers and punches is a PLUS

Essential Job Functions:
Design, analyze, and test sheet metal components and assemblies.
Conduct testing on different product lines and analyze data.
Provide technical support to Sales, Manufacturing, QA, Service, and Customers.
Suggest and implement design improvements.
Introduce new projects into manufacturing, including training and work instructions.
Conduct safety meetings and ensure department compliance with safety policies.
Contact vendors as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field
Mechanical design experience on sheet metal
Extensive knowledge and experience with sheet metal fabrication processes required (lasers, brakes, punches, shears, etc.).
Prior hands on experience running the fabrication equipment
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read blueprints
Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
Strong math skills and ability to maximize material usage.
