Job Title: CRT/RRT - FT Night Shift

Location: Georgetown, KY 40342

Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our healthcare team in Georgetown, KY. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in respiratory care, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills. This role is essential in providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients, ensuring their well-being and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide respiratory care to patients with breathing disorders, following established procedures and protocols.

Assess and evaluate patient needs, administering respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.

Monitor and adjust ventilators, oxygen therapy, and other respiratory equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Perform diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gas analysis, to assess lung function and the effectiveness of respiratory treatments.

Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and the use of respiratory equipment at home.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting treatments, patient responses, and progress.

Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to respiratory care.

Respond to emergency situations, providing critical respiratory support as needed.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in respiratory care.

Must-Haves:

Licensure: Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License - Required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited CRT or RRT Program - Required.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire - Required.

Nice-to-Haves:

Education: Bachelors degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field - Preferred.

Skills:

Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact constructively and professionally with a wide range of individuals, including patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Qualifications:

Strong clinical knowledge of respiratory care techniques, equipment, and treatments.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.

Willingness to stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.
