Not-for-Profit
Immediate Start
£23.9k - £23.9k Annual
Full-Time
You probably want to work for a charity that’s won awards for being a great place to work, right? (Best Companies / Investors in People). They’ve launched a new service supporting ex-offenders in the community to rehabilitate. It’s an incredible service and exactly how rehabilitation should be done. Think wellness rooms, pool tables, doughnuts and news debates on Wednesdays, a gym, and a music studio. It’s a lovely project and feels like the sort of place you could spend an afternoon with a book.

A typical day in this role involves welcoming participants as they arrive, ensuring all safety checks are completed to keep everything running smoothly. You'll be managing bookings and referrals, whether through email, phone, or self-referrals, and handling petty cash for travel expenses or small purchases, making sure everything is accounted for.

Throughout the day, you’ll be gathering feedback from participants through surveys or follow-ups to ensure their needs are being met. You'll also be monitoring CCTV and controlling access to restricted areas, ensuring everything stays secure. Ordering supplies, like stationery or refreshments, is part of the routine to keep the Hub well-stocked.

Finally, you'll ensure that the Hub complies with Health and Safety and other guidelines by checking equipment and ensuring that things like fire extinguishers and first aid kits are in place.

To apply, you must have an interest in working within criminal justice. Ideally, you have worked on a similar project before with vulnerable clients. You will have demonstrable admin experience and organisational skills. You need to be assertive and confident. This could suit a criminology graduate looking for their first step on the career ladder.

Please apply via this advert – we aim to respond to everyone. If you haven't heard back within 72 hours, please complete the "Send Us A Message" form on the Contact Us page of the Red 5 People website, and we guarantee a real person will get back to you. For more details about the role, please call the office and ask for Lawrence
