Director of Operations

Active Day is the leading provider of adult day health services, with a growing footprint and an expansive member population that stretches across the United States.  

Job Summary

The Director of Operations will oversee the daily operations and strategic initiatives across Active Day regions and lines of service (Adult Day Services and Home Care). This role is pivotal in ensuring that each center operates efficiently, meets regulatory requirements, and delivers high-quality care to our members. The Director of Operations will lead a team of Regional and Area Directors and collaborate with other departments to optimize performance, enhance member satisfaction, and drive company growth.

Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight including but not limited to leading the operational management of Active Day centers, ensuring consistency, compliance and quality; identifying areas requiring operational efficiencies and effectiveness and collaborating with necessary departments in developing and implementing standardized operating procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness all while encouraging a highly inclusive culture in which all teammates can thrive.

Collaborate with COO and executive leadership team to develop and execute short-term and long-term operational strategies to optimize business growth and revenue strategy.

Monitor Objectives and Key Results (“OKRs”), ensuring operations meet financial, operational, growth and member care goals. 

Identify opportunities for expansion, improvement, and innovation within the adult day care sector.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among the operational teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum 7 years of experience in multi-site operations management, preferably in the adult day services or health care industry.

Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience, with proven success in leading teams across. multiple states:  Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills are required.

Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in Adult Day Services across multiple states preferred.

Ability to recognize opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies, perform root cause analysis and develop solutions that drive operational excellence.

Strong collaboration skills including but not limited to stake holders, operations and home office leadership team.

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen:  A strong mindset and aptitude for compliance and internal controls.

Flexible / out-of-the-box thinker that thrives in an environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities, requiring the ability to pivot as business needs change.
