Position Overview

The Novelis Metal Procurement team is looking for an Associate Buyer. This role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the purchase of scrap aluminum and ensuring it is delivered and consumed by the corresponding internal cast house or external toller within the desired timeline. The Associate Buyer works in close collaboration with Novelis cast houses, Supply Chain, Logistics Departments and external collaborators. This position reports to the Sr. Manager Metal Procurement.

Responsibilities

Support the negotiation and procurement of scrap aluminum commodities and services

Execute the data analysis for purchased inputs

Inventory management including expediting procurement/open orders

Assist with supplier & internal customer invoice issues, concerns relating to deliveries, stock status

Data Collection for commodities, plant or corporate procurement initiatives as required

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related field

3-5 years of Aluminum industry experience

Up to 3 years experience in the Metal Procurement field
