We are seeking a Site Civil Engineer to assist in design and construction of municipal water and wastewater projects for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Performing civil engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure

Conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation

Hydraulic calculations and/or modeling

Permitting and alternative analysis

Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work

Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables

Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction

Provide engineering services during construction

Participate in field activities and site reconnaissance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field

0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in civil/site development

Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT) 

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems

Ability to develop working drawings for civil site plans (layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches (determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail)

Experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projects

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team

Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with local utility codes and utility permitting process

Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations/modeling software for stormwater management (StormWise™, InfoSWMM, HEC-RAS).

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering

Experience with Environmental Resource Permits

Pay Range:

$XX,XXX to $XX,XXX annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
