ABOUT THE POSITION
VHB’s Providence, RI office is looking for an Environmental Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2025.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with numerous VHB staff, clients, and consultants to advance projects in a timely manner
Wetland delineations
Threatened and endangered species surveys
Plant identification and vegetation inventory
Water Quality Monitoring
GPS, mobile technology, and data management
GIS, geodatabases, and basic mapmaking
Data entry, research, and analysis
Writing and technical reporting
Environmental permit support
Skills and Attributes
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and interact appropriately and positively with teammates
Self-motivated with attention to detail
Good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, environmental science, environmental planning, or related field
