Job Description:

Position: Tanker Driver, CDL A HAZMAT

Primary Location: Jacksonville, FL

Schedule: Full-Time Hourly

Reports To: Regional Driver Manager

Compensation: $29.49 USD + bonus + benefits.

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.   The range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries.   Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   A salary range for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process.  Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses, benefits, pension contributions, or additional incentives.

In This Role, You Will: 

Load, transfer, and unload raw product from a tanker truck

Transport and unload chemicals into customers’ tanks safely and with the required paperwork

Safely handle hoses during loading and unloading

Perform pre and post-trip inspections

Comply with all Company, Customer Federal, State, and Local laws, rules and regulations

Become familiar with plant operating procedures

Other duties as assigned

A Successful Candidate Has:

Minimum two (2) years of recent tractor/tanker experience

Minimum one (1) year of recent tanker experience

Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License, CDL Class A, with appropriate hazmat and tanker endorsements

A clean driving record for the past three (3) years

Be physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle and provide a valid medical card

Be able to provide proof of experience or training to operate the type of motor vehicle used by Chemtrade safely

Specific Role Responsibilities

Other Duties as assigned

Physical Occupational Requirements 

Employee must frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs/ladders (including vertical)

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Must be "fit for duty"
