Position Summary:
The employee assembles parts by following special instructions, routers and blueprints.
Essential Responsibilities:
Positions and assembles parts according to special instructions, routings and blueprints.
Adhere to company specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders.
Assemble wire harnesses, connectors and other assemblies or components.
Perform intricate tasks including stripping, crimping, and soldering of wires.
Use Microscopes, hand tools and manually operated machines, etc.
Cleans, assembles, disassembles and replaces parts as required.
Uses chemicals, adhesives, solvents, lubricants, epoxies, paints and inks, as required.
Keeps assembly department clean and free of foreign object damage.
Keeps production lead/supervisor advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.
Fiber Optics:
Fiber Termination - Including stripping, cleaving, and polishing.
Fiber Visual Inspection - Use of a microscope to inspect fiber and face for defects.
Fiber test - Perform testing and troubleshooting, insertion loss and back reflection.
Fiber End Face Geometry Measurements - Perform interferometer analysis using Norland or SUMIX interferometer.
This position requires visibility to controlled documents.
Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent
Able to read, write and speak English

Willingness and able to train on manufacturing fiber optic cable assemblies.
