Responsibilities:
Under direction, assists with the development, implementation and monitoring of programs for the Department of Volunteer Services. Provides administrative and program support to the Manager Volunteer Services, volunteers/interns. Maintains files, distributes mail etc. Uses discretion and judgment when screening visitors and telephone calls. Organizes workload to meet established priorities. Does data entry and typing in the volunteer database and a personal computer.
Qualifications:
Associate’ s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Science, or a related discipline, plus one (1) year of volunteer coordination or related experience preferably in a healthcare setting required. Computer proficiency and experience with office software required. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills; program development skills, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. Position may very seldomly require evening and weekend availability. Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
