Overview:
Kimley-Horn's Orlando, FL office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join their Surface Water team. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
Roadway drainage design responsibilities includes existing drainage analysis, permit research, obtaining permits for design, spread analysis, ditch calculations, and ICPR 3 & 4. Technical writing desired for Pond Siting Reports, Base Clearance, Hydroplaning and Drainage Reports. Knowledge in modeling HEC-RAS, GIS, and HY-8. Ability to work with programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and OpenRoads.Roadway drainage design responsibilities includes existing drainage analysis, permit research, obtaining permits for design, spread analysis, ditch calculations, and ICPR 3 & 4. EI certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
2 or more years of relevant engineering experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organizational skills
Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
Proficiency in Microstation
