Overview:
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a collaborative individual, with demonstrated talent acquisition or recruiting skills, and excellent organizational skills. She/he/they will be responsible for consulting with hiring managers to understand their recruitment needs, develop sourcing strategies to leverage diverse, high caliber candidates, pre-screen candidates to assess their qualifications, monitor requisition status to ensure an efficient recruitment process for respective candidates and clients.
Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Meet with programs to develop a working knowledge of programs to quickly identify hiring needs at the department level, as well as how those fit into the broader organizational culture.
Work creatively with programs to help create recruitment plans, identify resources for outreach and staffing needs.
Develop pipeline of talent, specifically for frequently filled positions.
Provide initial screening of applicant pools, as well as phone screens or interviews where applicable. Utilize a combination of behavioral and competency-based interviewing to assess applicants.
Work with programs to help ensure compliance with our organizations Diversity and Inclusion goals.
Collects any applicable initial hiring paperwork from applicants before handing candidate off to HR Compliance or HR Services.
Assist in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or ICMS system and training of users (i.e., programs, job seekers, etc.).
Leverage social media & job boards recruit applicants
Prepare all postings, work with hiring manager to determine pre-screening questions where advertising would occur to provide diverse applicant pool and be involved in candidate sourcing; review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge, in relation to position requirements.
Adhere to departments performance goals and effectively utilize metrics to review and adjust strategies.
Review and approve internal transactions occurring for your designated departments and programs.
Counsels employees on Career Development and growth.
Performs all other related duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
College degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required
Qualified NYS Driver’s license and maintained throughout employment required
Minimum of two (2)) to three (3) years’ experience in talent acquisition/recruitment required
Clinical recruitment a plus
Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ICMS) preferred
Experience recruiting in non-profit environment a plus
Proficiency in all Microsoft Suite applications required
Must be client focused, extremely detail orientated and possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong people skills and professional demeanor required
Must be flexible to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills required
