Responsibilities:

Machine Maintenance Tech I Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Tech I will be responsible for entry level building and ground repairs and minor equipment installation and repairs. 

Essential Job Functions

Plan and perform work relating to repair of buildings and grounds

Recommend improvements and changes for increased quality or efficiency

Perform preventative maintenance per schedule

Back up the janitor role

Work independently on projects of moderate complexity

Enters production information into the ERP system on a timely basis

Accurately records and reports hours worked

Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements

Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work

Partner with other business segments:  sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance

Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve

Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly

Participate in required company meetings

Maintain an organized work area (5S)

Participate in the Operational Excellence Program

Complete all other work duties as assigned

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA’s and certifications)

1 year of experience in a related field

Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision

Intermittent exposure to safe levels of cleaning solutions, solvents, and solder (lead) fumes

Ability to read, comprehend, follow, and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents

Mechanical Aptitude

Dexterity and hand and eye coordination

Attention to detail

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks

Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings

Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required

Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail

Organizational skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Desirable Criteria & Qualifications

Certificates

Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations
