Overview:
Coastal Waste & Recycling is a solid waste and recycling, hauling and disposal company. We are experiencing explosive growth and with growth comes opportunity. We are currently adding a driver helper. CDL is not necessary, but this is a good opportunity for a new CDL holder to gain experience on a truck and learn the routes.
Responsibilities:
Essential functions
Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Collect commercial waste/ recyclable materials from designated locations
Partner with the driver in helping maneuver the vehicle while backing up
Report all customer-related problems to the driver immediately
Comply with all safety and equipment checks that adheres to federal, state, local and company rules/ regulations for safely operating a vehicle
Ensure that all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn
Assist driver in keeping the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and safe to operate
Assist with dumping at disposal site
Complete any assigned trainings as assigned for the role

Work environment and hours
Shifts may vary Monday-Saturday
40-55 hours a week
Work sites with dust and debris

Must be able to safely climb on and off a truck
Ability to lift and move 65 pounds regularly.
