Overview:

The Banquet Housperson is key part in supporting the Special Events operations. The Attendant does the set-up and breakdown for special event functions in the Hotel, and when serving, provides It is a very physical position with lots of lifting, bending, pushing and pulling. The Banquet Attendant must be able to follow the Banquet Event Order (BEO) directions very clearly. The Banquet Attendant shifts may be scheduled for nontraditional shift times.

Responsibilities:

Some duties and responsibilities of the Banquet Attendant position include:

Setting the event according to the BEO instructions. Report any maintenance issues while setting so they can be corrected prior to the event. Breakdown room set and/or reset room as directed or store equipment, and clean room/area as directed. During course of setup or breakdown, maintain proper care of equipment and facilities. Utilize proper ergonomics when setting or breaking down, ask for assistance when necessary. Conduct quality check on condition of tables, chairs and linens while setting the room.

Qualifications:

Some desired qualifications of the Banquet Attendant position include:

Able to follow instructions from Captains and Managers. Ability to read, understand and complete written instructions in a BEO when given in English. Able to meet physical requirements of the position; heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, etc. Ability to complete assigned tasks on time and without close supervision. Ability to interact in a professional courteous manner with the guests. Willing to work a variety of shifts and schedules.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $18-$19/hr
