Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assessing client Treasury Management and business deposit product needs; attending sales calls with prospective clients, and effectively implementing and promoting those products to the client base. This position is primarily responsible for self-sourcing Treasury-focused and deposit-focused book of business. May include cross sell opportunities, including Commercial Card, Merchant Services, Investment vehicles.

KEY FUNCTIONS: 

Provides product knowledge expertise during sales calls with potential and existing clients;

Provides effective sales culture leadership for the profitable expansion of Deposit and Treasury Management relationships to support strategic growth;

Acquisitive Treasury Sales Officer: Primarily responsible for self-sourcing Treasury-focused and deposit-focused book of business. May include cross sell opportunities, including Commercial Card, Merchant Services, Investment vehicles;

Partners with the Manager of HOA Banking and HOA Bankers to prepare for new client calls and to identify new sales opportunities with existing clients;

Maintain and develop a strong network, to include sourcing independent treasury opportunities with HOAs/COAs

Writes professional quality proposals and respond to formal RFP's ;

Deliver excellent customer service to both external clients and internal colleagues throughout the bank;

Maintain knowledge base of current and emerging business and Treasury Management products;

Ensure the accurate implementation and servicing of all deposit and Treasury Management relationships;

Update HOA Bankers and Managers regarding critical developments in customer relationships;

Work with operations, servicing, and product support personnel to ensure successful client on-boarding, customer satisfaction and ongoing support.

Complete additional tasks and special projects as assigned by manager.

This position will be asked to provide coverage locally as well as throughout the state and potentially in other state(s). Occasional travel will be required.

Lead effective relationship reviews identifying additional opportunities to expand services and revenue.

Protect WaFd’s Interests:

Adherence to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with Federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations.

Complete and pass all assigned eLearning courses and certifications as required.

Avoid all real or perceived conflicts of interest and always maintain client privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Education/Skills/Training: 

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and/or a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance and/or accounting preferred.

BA/BS or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years cash/treasury management sales experience in a financial environment.

Proven sales experience.

Position requires a thorough knowledge of bank operations, policies, procedures including Bank/Treasury Management products.

Must have a strong math aptitude and be proficient in MS Office.

Effective business development/client acquisition skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
