The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious ­­­­­Benefits Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates with the Benefits Consultant, Senior Account Manager, Enrollment Team and account management support staff to facilitate the implementation of new or renewing accounts to ensure the highest level of service is met.

Work alongside the Senior Account Manager to maintain the ongoing client relationship and work with key decision makers to proactively identify trends in service issues and develop corrective action plans that will positively improve the client’s ability to manage their employee benefits portfolio.

This position requires strong skills in conflict resolution and negotiation, high-level attention to detail, as well as relationship building that ensures persistency of business and growth for The Hilb Group.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required, Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred.

Possession of current Virginia state insurance license health/life annuities is preferred; Employee who does not possess licensure will be required to obtain Insurance Licensure (Health, Life and Annuities) within 30 days of initial employment.

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills, high energy and enthusiasm, strong interpersonal, motivation, and leadership skills and willingness to self direct and work independently.

Eceptional planning, problem solving and organization skills to provide extraordinary customer service to customers

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products.

At least 2 years experience in account management and/or service in the health and/or benefits industry.
