Buckingham's Choice is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in our skilled nursing neighborhood. Our beautiful, gated community is located in Adamstown, MD.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating new hire orientation programs, educational in-service/clinical programs, and training for all nursing personnel. Oversees the infection control program as a designated infection preventionist to comply with Federal and State regulations (CDC Infection Prevention training completion within 60 days of hire), experience with Quality Assessment/Process Improvement (QAPI), and to provide training to nursing staff. Assists the Director of Nursing (DON) with management and administrative functions.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
Minimum of five years’ clinical experience; preferably in a long-term care setting
Experience with in-service education
Clinical supervisory experience is preferred
Knowledge of principles of nursing care, and Federal and State regulations governing long-term care facilities
