What Your Day Will Look Like:

Project Manager for Houston, TX to lead civil engineering projects with focus on hydrology, water resources, drainage & flood control; design, prepare & review engineering plans, reports, details, calculations and quantity estimates; ensure compliance with code & best engineering practices; develop, review, track & adjust project scopes, cost estimates, budgets and schedules; prepare deliverables that meet client specifications; lead project meetings; prepare proposals, scope & fee justifications; mentor junior engineers; act as technical liaison to client & internal stakeholders. Requires Master's in Water Resource Engineering, Civil Engineering or closely related field & 4 yrs experience applying advanced hydraulic theory to analyze and design complex hydraulic structures; developing complex 1-D & 2-D hydraulic models using HEC-RAS and XP-SWMM; using HEC-HMS to develop hydrologic models; developing economic loss models using FEMA HAZUS MH, HEC-FIA, & GO-consequence tool; modeling cross-culverts using HY-8; using ArcGIS, including ArcPy & story map tool, for visualizing and analyzing geospatial data; using Python with Pandas & NumPy libraries to modify and extract results from hydrologic and hydraulic models; and developing engineering work product in compliance with FEMA, HCFCD, IBWC, & TxDOT standards, guidelines and specifications.
