Unit Description:

Do you have a passion to take raw ingredients and re-imagine them into something someone appreciates and finds delicious?

Sodexo is currently seeking an Executive Chef 3 to join our culinary team at Carroll Lutheran Village, a large, upscale continuing care retirement community located in Westminster, Maryland.  Dining  operations include 2 cafes, 2 restaurants, 1 pub for independent living residents; a skilled care dining room and an assisted living dining room along with catering.

The Executive Chef 2 will manage two Executive Chefs 1 with a total culinary team of approximately 30 employees.  This Executive Chef will oversee the culinary operations for all levels of care and be responsible for recipe development and the training and development of culinary team.  Typical shift will be 10:00am - 7:00pm, may vary with every other weekend coverage.   We are open to chefs with senior living and/or restaurant/country club leadership backgrounds.  We offer 3 weeks paid vacation to start, 401k, great benefits, and more!

have the ability to manage multiple priorities.

have strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget.

are knowledgeable in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
