The Warehouse Lighting Technician II must prepare equipment for rental as well as place equipment back into the inventory and store it properly in the space provided upon return.

Your day will look like this:

Prepare orders of average complexity, scan them, and put them inside the appropriate transport case.

Work with fellow shop technicians to prepare large orders.

Customize equipment if required by the client, according to the purchase order:Modify equipment’s configuration settings.

Program equipment according to the standards and client’s needs

Prepare racks and systems’ interconnection.

Install computer software/programs and updates.

Ensure all required accessories to operate equipment are included (e.g., wiring, adapter, PSU, gelatin, bracket, remote control, etc.).

Clean and conduct a visual inspection of the equipment.

Perform operation tests on all equipment.

Upgrade the items (ex.: paint, cleaning, etc.)

Report breakage and missing components to the Shop Technician 3

Perform inventories of requested items

Follow the quality and preparation standards of the company and/or industry.

Ensure their section is organized, clean, and all tools are properly stored and maintained.

All other related tasks assigned

Your profile:

Technical Theater Degree or other relevant domain, or the equivalent in field experience 

Minimum of one year of experience in an audiovisual equipment workshop or live events industry.

Strong knowledge of Live Events and/or rental industry in the entertainment and corporate environment a plus.

Knowledge of the R2 inventory software (an asset)

Good knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Ability to solve complicated problems.

Thoroughness and attention to detail

Well-developed organizational skills

Demonstrate ability to work well with clients (internal and external)

Adapt to change easily.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Flexibility of working schedule (an asset)

Experience in Forklift operation

Environment may be fast paced, dark, cold, and hot

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
