We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support our growing Nitinol operations and lead the development of laser workstation processes.

The Process Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves leading a team of engineers, working cross-functionally with other departments, and ensuring that all processes comply with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. Additionally, experience with Nitinol manufacturing processes is required.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development and production of laser micro-manufacturing projects for life sciences.

Set up and develop complex laser workstations.

Provide technical training to laser operators and technicians.

Oversee the successful transition of projects from development to production.

Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to achieve project goals.

Ensure ongoing development projects are manufacturable and address any quality issues.

Support the Operations Manager in resolving production challenges.

Assist Sales with project routing for accurate quotes.

Generate and update setup sheets, work instructions, and CAPAs as needed.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across departments.

Mentor and guide technical staff to optimize solutions.

Participate in sales support activities, including presentations, customer visits, and technical seminars.

Manage schedules for Lightspeed systems and development engineers.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to staff.

Work with the Director on disciplinary actions and schedule approvals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering/Science discipline or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in process engineering, with at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Proven experience in Nitinol manufacturing processes.

Proven track record of leading successful process improvement initiatives.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in process simulation software and CAD tools.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
