Position Summary:  

As a critical member of the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, the Cash Applications Specialist manages the company’s cash inflow and provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers This position supports the general and overall Accounts Receivable accounting to ensure that AR accounting is accurate, timely and in compliance with company policies. The Cash Application Specialist may assist in other bank-related processing tasks. This position helps to identify and implement projects to drive operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: 

Process high volumes of transactions and remittances

Reconcile and post payments via High Radius and SAP

Review and process payment type correction requests

Manage unidentified/suspense related cash clearing

Assist with settling routes along with driver cash reconciliation

Address payment issues like duplicate payments or other discrepancies

Analyze all types of remits within the system of record as well as remit mailboxes

Engage in collection reconciliation processes as necessary

Assist with gathering required documentation for external and internal audit requests

Meet or exceed KPIs as assigned

Identify solutions to drive continuous improvement

Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience: 

HS Diploma/GED and 1 to 2 plus years of experience in accounts receivable and cash applications

Ability to multitask and manage time amid multiple deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Proficient with accounting software programs

Strong data entry skills

Ability to operate related office equipment, i.e., computers, 10-key calculator, and copier

Ability to work independently

Experience in a fast-paced environment

Customer service mindset

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test

Preferred Skills and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree

Experience in SAP

Experience in High Radius
