JOIN OUR TEAM:
A growing company in the healthcare industry with locations located throughout the Southeast US. We are currently growing and looking for a full-time Payroll Administrator at our Headquarters’ office in downtown Amelia Island (Fernandina Beach, FL).
Job Overview & Work Site:
The Payroll Administrator will accurately process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees for the company’s locations. We use a nationally recognized 3rd party payroll system to process payroll and to complete year-end tasks. Understanding and experience with payroll processing, benefit deductions, payroll-related tax, and attendance systems is a must. This is an on-site position (not remote).
Essential Functions:
Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential and secure.
Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Verify timekeeping records and partner with company locations for validation/approval.
Research and consult with employee supervisors and HR about any payroll related discrepancies.
Properly notify employees about impending garnishments.
Responds to employee inquiries concerning payroll related items.
Record payroll data in our accounting software system and verify all amounts prior to processing payroll.
Process manual checks as needed.
Effectively communicate with management and employees regarding payroll items.
Work closely with accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely integration of payroll entries.
Maintain compliant policies and procedures related to the preparation and processing of payroll.
Assist in other accounting and HR functions as needed.

Experience and Education:
Payroll: At least 2 years of prior experience (Required)
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Accounting or business degree (Preferred)
Computer Software/Hardware:
Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Accounting/Payroll Software: Paylocity software experience a plus
