The Director oversees student outreach, enrollment, academic and data management, and ensures program effectiveness by providing leadership, coaching, and streamlining workflows. Reporting to the AVP, this role collaborates with various departments and external partners to promote program activities, manage student eligibility and communicate with stakeholders regarding contracts and student cases.

Responsibilities:

The Director oversees student outreach, enrollment, academic and data management, and ensures program effectiveness by providing leadership, coaching, and streamlining workflows. Reporting to the AVP, this role collaborates with various departments and external partners to promote program activities, manage student eligibility and communicate with stakeholders regarding contracts and student cases.

Lead the strategic planning, execution, and continuous enhancement of educational services (tutoring, advising, and career counseling) for students in foster care, to ensure both retention in school and increased academic and career success.

Oversee supervisory staff and plan for staff development via trainings and professional development opportunities to ensure staff growth, collaboration, and continued success in program Key Peformance Indicators (KPIs).

Improve stakeholder engagement, establish communication, and conduct workshops both internally and externally to foster positive relationships and effective communication with all stakeholders involved in foster care education.

Coordinate student enrollment & access to key program services to ensure both a smooth onboarding process as well as opportunities to improve academic outcomes (retention, GPA, graduation rates).

stablish clear, effective, and compliant policies and procedures for program operations.

Compile reports and documentation to maintain accurate, comprehensive, and accessible records for program activities, staff productivity, and student/client progress.

Act as an ambassador for the program by developing key stakeholder relationships, attending events/conferences, and developing marketing and advertisement materials to ensure the program broadens its reach to eligible students as well as identify additional funding opportunities.

Budgetary responsibilities ranging from monitoring program spending in collaboration with the AVP, admin, and finance division to providing realtime budget reports and updates for stakeholders. Directors may also be involved in funding applications, dispersal timelines, and more.

Salary Range: $76,500 to $80,300/year

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution

Minimum 4 years of experience working with foster care youth or in a related field (e.g., education, social services)

Experience working within the foster care system in New York State (preferred)

Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure efficient program operations.

Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in program design and service delivery.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders (staff, students, families, funders). This includes crafting presentations, advocating for the program's mission, and effectively communicating program successes to various audiences.

Proficiency in relevant software programs and strong analytical skills to interpret program data, identify trends, and measure program effectiveness.

Education Required:
