Overview:

It is the responsibility of the Host/Hostess to greet guests as the enter the outlet, take reservations if needed, show the guest to their table and provide menus. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests in a friendly manner.

Seat guests and provide menus.

Answering phone calls, take reservations as needed, answer guests’ questions.

Knowledge of menu items.

Attends pre-shift meetings.

Maintains uniform appearance according to established guidelines.

Welcomes guests, removes extra set-ups, and serves water to guests.

Assists Food Server as needed, serving food and bussing tables.

Assists with maintaining a neat, clean, and safe working environment.

Turns-over/Takes-over station according to established procedure.

Assist with to-go orders.

Assist with sorting, polishing and rolling up silverware.

Completes special projects as requested by Food & Beverage management.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Minimum age requirement is 17 years old.

Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and to be respectful of everyone.

Must read, write, speak, and understand English.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Experience preferred but will train willing individual.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Basic Math Skills.

Language Skills:

Must be able to speak and understand English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Constantly standing, eye/hand coordination, handling, wrist motion, hearing, speaking, seeing, reading, and bending.

Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.

Constantly lifting and carrying trays up to a maximum of 15lbs. at mid body level, for distances up to a maximum of 500 ft. during shift.

Frequently stooping, reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.

Work with others in close spaces.

Moderate noise levels.

Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
