Job Purpose
ICE Data Services is looking for a Senior Java developer to join our web application development team in Atlanta.
With a focus on Java back-end development, you will contribute to feature development, product delivery, provide technical support, and help improve best-of-breed engineering practices. You will work closely with solution architects, technical leads, other engineers, and product and testing teams in a distributed yet highly collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Java and frameworks like Spring/Spring Boot. In addition, the candidate will have some working knowledge of modern front-end frameworks, such as React.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and support client-facing financial applications, with a focus on back-end Java APIs
Participate in the full software development life-cycle: requirements gathering, architecting and design, coding, reviews, defect fixing, deployment and support
Be available on rotation to provide dev support for existing applications (occasionally outside of working hours)
Ability to drive ongoing and new initiatives, and move projects to completion with little supervision
Knowledge and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
6+ years of Java experience required
Demonstrated experience in web development, with a focus on back-end development
Advanced level knowledge of Java and Java frameworks
Working knowledge of latest React framework
Experience building and consuming JSON based RESTful web services
Preferred
Prior experience in Financial Service / fintech
Experience with NodeJS
Interested in finance and wanting to work for a firm that is best-in-class in the finance industry
Working knowledge of Caching mechanisms like Redis and Elastic Search
Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of 1 day per week.
