Position Overview:
We’re Hiring!
We have an immediate need for a Full-time Painter/Coater/Sprayer at Ohio Steel Industries’ Structural Steel facility located at 13792 Broad St SW, Pataskala, OH 43073.
You are the key to ensuring we provide our customers with a quality product that is built to their specifications and delivered in a timely manner. You will apply protective coatings to structural steel components using a Graco paint system. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Mix or thin paint and other coatings according to the drawing specifications
Clean equipment before and after each use, ensuring it is in good working condition
Clean and prepare steel surfaces for painting using both grinding and hand tools
Inspect painted surfaces for defects, and rework as necessary to ensure they meet quality standards
Follow established safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment
The schedule is currently 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, and 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Friday. Scheduled and incidental overtime may be required based on business needs.

Requirements
Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required; certification in industrial painting a plus
Prior experience with Graco paint system is preferred
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of surface preparation requirements
Able to operate overhead electric traveling crane and forklift
Unwavering commitment to safety
In addition, this position requires heavy work to include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, grasping objects, and ability to see distance, up close, and in color. There will be exposure to heat, noise, dust, and paint fumes.
