Job Description:

Dewberry is seeking an Entry-Level Planner to join our Transportation Funding Support group in our Rancho Cordova, CA, office to work on various client projects. The Entry-Level Planner will provide planning support for our local agency clients on a variety of transportation planning activities, including competitive grant applications.

Responsibilities:

Qualified candidates must be able to manage and coordinate assignments with a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates in this position will:

Assist with the development and preparation of planning documents related to transportation planning

Assist with competitive grant applications

Be proficient with ArcGIS and prepare GIS maps to support planning projects and grants

Conduct research and data collection necessary for planning level analysis.

Assist with community outreach ranging from in-person events to online content such as project surveys

Possess a BS Degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.

Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Be able to work in a team environment.

Required Skills & Required Experience:

Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to pass a driving record background check.

The projected range for this position is $70,000-$110,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
