Overview:

2nd shift, 3pm - 11pm, competitive wage

The primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems. A technician must possess a working knowledge of control panels, ladder logic, ability to upload and download programs necessary to repair and troubleshoot controls, repair of automated machines, and the ability to trouble shoot all manufacturing equipment to include but not limited to robots, automated handling equipment, control systems interfaces, and CNC’s. Order and maintain necessary supplies. Maintain internal daily communication with Plant Services operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for following all safety rules and reporting any safety violations to supervisor. When able correct the safety violation immediately.

2. Understand machine safeguarding standards. Follow all safety procedures and exercise caution in each work situation, assessing conditions to determine safest method to proceed.

3. Responsible for troubleshooting of all equipment; electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.

4. Maintain a working knowledge of PLC Logic.

5. Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory and supplies as well as keeping these items in proper location.

6. Responsible for maintaining company tools and equipment in good working condition.

7. Research and maintain education in automation field to stay up to date on the latest technology. Remain current on new trends in the field.

8. Learn new manufacturing process equipment, as new machine are introduced into production, and how to effectively troubleshoot and maintain such equipment.

9. Operate power tools and equipment in a safe manner.

10. Communicate with vendors and coordinate repairs on equipment.

11. Coordinate and/or perform training of associates in necessary skills needed to perform duties in troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

12. Create work instructions or training documentation for troubleshooting or repairing of electro-mechanical equipment.

13. Create effective preventive maintenance tasks for manufacturing and other related equipment. Periodically audit PM program.

14. Available for off-hour call-in and mandatory overtime.

15. Maintain 6S standards.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience and Certifications and Licenses

Minimum qualifications include a High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a state indentured Journeyman Industrial Electrician Card, Industrial Control Certificate, Electro-Mechanical Technology degree, or equivalent degree or experience.

Possess valid Wisconsin Operator's License, or ability to obtain one within a reasonable period of time.
