Overview:
We are currently looking for new team members as part of our initiative to enhance our operational and production support processes for Blackhawk Network and its systems. As a Data Analyst, you will be a member of a team designed to offload operational and basic engineering tasks from our product and engineering teams. Trends will be monitored for, to aid in both the prevention/detection of systemic issues and the prioritization of new features and tools. Reporting and analysis to be provided to leadership for visibility into the health of our platforms.
Responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 Support for issues, both technical and operational, for BHN Core systems.
Write advanced structured queries (using SQL*) for research and validation purposes.
Analyze application logs and build alerts and dashboards on tools like Splunk.
Access and read database event logs.
Develop an understanding of BHN application inner-operability.
Maintain Reporting of ticketing volume
Qualifications:
Technical degree or equivalent experience
English Level 90%
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams in different geographic locations
Effective verbal and written communication skills – able to present information, status, and issues in a clear and concise manner
Strong time management and organization skills with an aptitude for creative problem solving
Experience with build and executing advanced SQL queries in DB tools.
Experience in Log and data analysis.
Strong understanding of RDBMS like MySQL.
Basic understanding of Unix/ Linux commands.
Experience in any of the scripting languages is a plus(preferably Python).
