Position Overview:
I. SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Assistant Team Leader supports the Team Leader in providing leadership and direct activities of a mobile multi-disciplinary treatment team.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports the Team leader in directing and supervising staff activities
• Enforces timely and effective communication
• Leads team organizational and service planning meetings in absence of team leader
• Provides direction to staff regarding individual cases
• Conducts side-by-side contacts with staff
• Conducts individual supervision meetings with team leader
• Available by cell phone for emergency consultation/crisis intervention
• 50% of their time to direct participant services as a member of the clinical staff
• 50% of their time to administrative and supervisory duties
• Ensure that over time team members will cross train one another so that each team member has the
capacity to engage participants with regard to the entirety of roles and functions of the team as a whole
• Ensure staff share responsibilities for the recipients and for charting
• Supports staff in all areas of writing service plans
• Actively participates in all activities in revising service plans as the participant’s needs change
• Assures that advocacy for the rights and preferences of the participant are conducted
• Responsibility for the recipients of ACT services and for the charting of services
• Advocating for the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possible
• Participates in an on-call rotation
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor or division head
Qualifications:
III. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field or
licensure/registration as a registered nurse preferred. Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field required.
• Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel. Ability to research material via the internet
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
• Professional experience working in a multi-disciplinary mobile team.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
