Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Senior Engineer – Software sought by DISH Network, LLC in Englewood, CO.   

Work with business teams to provide analytical data for Dish Network. Understand AWS Services. Support everyday operations, including documentation, monitoring and resolution of any potential issues. Evangelize data engineering functions leveraging a Data Warehouse processing framework. Create and optimize data engineering pipelines for analytics projects. Build Enterprise data warehouse and data marts for the business. Support data and cloud transformation initiatives. Monitor AWS services and provide Cost optimization solutions. Contribute to our cloud strategy. Independently work with all stakeholders across the organization to deliver enhanced functionality. Provide production support for all data warehouse process. Engage in performance tuning and enhancing data warehouse processes.

Skills, Experience and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a closely related field plus 3 years of relevant work experience in job offered or related role. Also requires 3 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):

SQL, PL/SQ, NoSQL databases

Amazon AWS, Google Cloud including Postgres, and Mongodb

Redshift/Snowflake

Shell Scripts or Python scripts
