Opportunity Snapshot:
Compensation: $62.50/hour
Location: Pasadena, TX
Work Schedule: M-F / 40 hours+
Assignment Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:
Execute continuous improvement of reliability and continuous reduction of maintenance cost by systematic improvement of maintenance policies and equipment/components
Ensure that asset integrity standards are consistently met by driving the maintenance strategy process and by monitoring PM execution
Execute the process to establish equipment criticality; along the dimensions of rules and regulations, company standards and guidelines, OEE losses, quality impact and cost to repair
Establish equipment maintenance strategy, satisfying the required degree of reliability, as part of the maintenance strategy process
Ensure maintenance policies are clearly described and documented and translated into preventive maintenance work orders where applicable
Monitor proper and timely execution of these PM activities. Perform PM effectiveness checks and improve PM’s accordingly
Participate in Root Cause Problem Solving and translating maintenance related improvement in improved maintenance policies
Support maintenance manager in systematically improving maintenance policies
Monitor changes in rules and regulations and company standards that may impact Equipment Maintenance strategies and taking corrective action accordingly
Troubleshoot on and systematic improvement of equipment and components
Ensure maintenance strategies are aligned with Rules and Regulations and company standards. Ensure maintenance strategies are aligned with Business Goals. Ensure maintenance strategies are documented, translated into PM orders in the Dynastar system and executed properly
Qualifications:
5 to 10+ years of experience in a similar role working at a chemical plant
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is a plus
Relevant experience in mechanical engineering within the chemical industry or a related field
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI)
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
