Overview:

Vista Community Clinic is a private, non-profit, multi-specialty outpatient clinic providing care in a comprehensive, high quality setting. Responsibilities:

Greet and respond to limited inquiries from patients and customers via telephone and in person. Perform a variety of clerical functions and drive mobile unit. 

• Drive Mobile Unit to event sites, ensure proper and safe set-up, break-down and storage of mobile unit and related equipment such as

   computer equipment, canopies, tables and chairs

• Complete and submit vehicle inspection reports weekly ensuring regular maintenance is performed and any mechanical issues are

   addressed immediately

• Greet patients in a professional manner

• Answer incoming telephone calls within 3 rings; transfer calls in a timely and appropriate manner

• Verify insurance eligibility and copy insurance cards

• Work closely with other clinic staff to ensure patients are being seen in a timely manner

• Perform financial and eligibility screening for clinic programs

• Print daily schedule and confirm next day’s appointments

Qualifications:

Minimum

High school graduate or equivalent

One year experience in a medical or dental office

Experience in verifying insurance/program eligibility

Bilingual English/Spanish

CPR Certification (including BLS Child, Infant, Adult with one-time hands-on skills training

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Dental Records systems, NextGen preferred

Ability to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner

Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction

Ability to type minimum 35 WPM

Preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred

Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products, business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities
