Responsibilities:

The Unit Coordinator is responsible for receptionist and clerical tasks on the nursing unit. The Unit Coordinator assists the nurses in maintaining unit communications and the transcription/transmittal of physicians’ orders, as appropriate. In addition, the Unit Coordinator performs a variety of duties related to the scheduling of outpatient infusions, related testing, and communicating with physician’s offices on a daily basis. The Unit Coordinator demonstrates professional behavior during all interactions with patients and the entire multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year or more of clerical experience within a medical oncology/outpatient infusion setting. Medical terminology and computer skills preferred.
