Responsibilities:

Team Select Home Care is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Team Select family. The Senior Accountant (SSA) is responsible for applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports/statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

Generates, analyzes, reviews and communicates financial data that reflects actual financial performance to the budget.

Performs essential tasks for the month end close process

Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures

Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met

Reconciles all corporate bank accounts on a daily basis and documents

Ensures accurate and timely monthly and year end close

Establishes and monitors the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures

Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities

Ensures accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses

Analyzes and advises on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues

Analyzes financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems

Maintains electronic and paper records as necessary

Performs other duties as assigned by Controller

Maintains strict confidentiality on patient, employee and agency matters

Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Accounting degree or equivalent

Knowledge of accepted accounting practices and principles

Knowledge of economic principles

Knowledge of auditing practices and principles

A minimum of 3 years experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing or taxation
